Building Discipline, Respect, and Responsibility
At Ch. Sughar Singh World School, we believe that discipline is the backbone of education. To create an environment that fosters learning, respect, and personal growth, we have established a set of rules and regulations. These guidelines are designed not only to maintain order but also to teach students the values of responsibility, punctuality, honesty, and cooperation.
By following these rules, every student contributes to a safe, structured, and positive school culture where all can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
General Discipline
Students must maintain decorum and good conduct both inside and outside the school premises.
Respectful behavior towards teachers, staff, peers, and visitors is mandatory.
Use of abusive language, bullying, or violence in any form will not be tolerated.
Students are expected to uphold the reputation of the school at all times.
Attendance and Punctuality
A minimum of 75% attendance is required to be eligible for examinations.
Students should arrive at school at least 10 minutes before the first bell.
Late arrivals must report to the office and obtain permission to enter class.
Absences must be supported with a leave application signed by parents/guardians.
Uniform and Personal Grooming
Students must wear the prescribed school uniform neatly and correctly each day.
Shoes must be polished, and uniforms should be clean and well-fitted.
Hair should be well-groomed; no fancy hairstyles or accessories are allowed.
Wearing of jewelry, makeup, or smart gadgets (unless permitted) is strictly prohibited.
Classroom Conduct
Students must carry all necessary books and materials according to the timetable.
Silence and attentiveness should be maintained during teaching hours.
Damaging or misusing school property, including furniture, labs, and library books, will result in disciplinary action.
Students are encouraged to participate actively but with respect for teachers and peers.
Use of Technology
Mobile phones, cameras, and other electronic devices are not permitted unless required for academic purposes and approved by the teacher.
Any misuse of technology, social media, or digital platforms that affects the school’s image will lead to strict disciplinary measures.
Safety and Security
Students must remain within the school campus during school hours.
Leaving the premises without permission is strictly prohibited.
Fire drills and safety instructions must be followed seriously.
Misbehavior during transport (school bus/van) will result in withdrawal of bus facilities.
Examinations and Academics
Students must maintain academic honesty; cheating in exams or assignments will result in strict penalties.
All homework, projects, and assignments should be completed on time.
Regular participation in tests, co-curricular activities, and school functions is compulsory.
Parental Role
Parents should ensure that their child attends school regularly and punctually.
Regular communication between parents and teachers is encouraged.
Parents must attend Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) to discuss their child’s progress.
